My Background

I love color! I love music!

Being a drummer and in the color business, I decided it would be fun to color my drumsticks. Thus, the name ChromaRhythm was born. While at my full-time job in 2008, a customer needed formulation help with a specialized color masterbatch. Once the formulation was complete, I was able to create the custom blending for them and find a manufacturer that could produce the masterbatch. ChromaRhythm Ltd. was launched!

In my career, I’ve done work for over 20 Fortune 500 Companies, 9 in the Fortune 100. I’ve worked on projects for industries including athleticwear, optics, aviation, detergents and cleaners, plastic polymers, hunting gear, POP displays, food packaging, appliances, oil drilling, construction materials, and automotive. I was able to provide customers with services their suppliers were not willing to provide; dyeing small batches of acrylic, nylon, and POM, or procuring hard to find colorants for very specific applications.

I worked in the plastic color masterbatch industry for 17 years and the dye manufacturing and distribution industry for 20 years. I have experience coloring plastics, industrial cleaners and chemicals, oils and lubricants, waxes, inks and coatings. I have written and presented three CAD RETEC technical papers and co-written two. I’ve been a member of SPE for over 20 years. Through my company ChromaRhythm, I am excited to continue my journey and share my expertise!

It was a thrill to play drums at the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame and perform with some of my color expert colleagues in our band Color Eye Blind!

Behind the Logo

The name ChromaRhythm was derived from a combination of my career in the color business (Chroma) and my love for music and hobby as a drummer (Rhythm). To use color in the logo it was obvious to use color swatches covering the visible color spectrum. The 26 color swatches in the logo represent the 26 traditional drum rudiments.

“There was one man who was interested in the color of music, the connection between light and music, and that was Einstein.”
